Faye the Writer

Faye likes to think of her profession as astrologer. as one of "story gatherer".  During her career she has seen hundreds of clients and heard their stories. Astrologers are constantly therefore doing research and drawing conclusions from what they hear.  It is not the statistical research that scientists keep looking for with astrology, but narrative research, an equally valuable source of information.

Using this type of research, Faye completed her Masters degree at Bath Spa University in the UK and graduated Master of Arts in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology in 2004. Her dissertation covered research on companies which included KLM, Martinair and C&A. This research will eventually be published once it has been updated for the non-academic world.

Articles
Faye has written articles and had interviews published in various magazines in the Netherlands. One of her articles can be seen on her business website - www.juxtaposition.nl.  The article entitled " Cycles of History" compares the history of two companies, KLM and the Dutch daily newspaper the Volkskrant, which were ' born'  in the same period. Details of some of the interviews can also be found on this site (mostly in Dutch). There is also a summary of a lecture she gave ( in Dutch) about research.

An older article on the Saturn Pluto cycle written in 2001, is relevant again in 2009 as there is a triggering of the same cycle. Faye has commented on this in her business E-zine at www.juxtaposition.nl.

Books

 

Faye's book "using Astrology to Create a Vocational Profile : Finding the right career direction" was published in 2012.

It is a practical guide that shows how to combine astrology with techniques used by career counsellors.

 

 

 

Faye is co-author, along with other well-known astrologers, of the book "From Here to There - an Astrologers guide to Astromapping", edited by Martin Davis. This book covers a technique known as Astro*carto*graphy, which is used to gain information about how different locations affect you and how this information might be used.

Faye the Speaker

Faye gives many workshops through her school The Amsterdam School of Astrology and she is often invited to lecture in the Netherlands. She has appeared at all the main Dutch conferences; Astrologia Omnis - Soesterberg, Vrienden van het Landhuis - Oldenzaal, and the Congresses of the Astrologische Associatie Nederland.

She has also given lectures at the major international astrology conference in the UK, the Astrological Association Conference and at the main Norwegian conference.

In London she is often to be seen speaking at the London School of Astrology and she has also spoken at The Astrological Lodge in London. She presented her dissertation at one of the Bath Spa University conferences.

Faye has given many talks for non astrological groups too, such as different womens'  professional organisations, for example WIN ( Womens' International Network) and also for Rotary and other international groups in the Netherlands such as the British Society as well as Dutch organisations.  In her work for businesses, she has often presented astrological principles to business groups.
